Over the last 10 years THS has done a great deal of work within the grounds of Ridley Hall, and this work includes the construction of the first two phases of the Millennium Trail. Three significant trees have been lost within the grounds within the last three years. One, a sycamore, was felled because of old age, leaving a substantial stump, and a large lime and a smaller yew on either side of the Millennium Trail were killed by a lightning strike and are still standing. We would like to mark our 10th anniversary by commissioning sculptures created from these three trees, involving the users of our service and others from the local community. Ridley Hall itself  (boarding wing for Haydon Bridge High School) is also keen to support this project. We believe the sculptures will enhance the beautiful grounds of Ridley Hall. We are working with a sculptor, Didier, who has developed some excellent ideas for the sculptures. Some examples of Didier’s work are shown below. We are now trying to secure funding for what we believe will be an exciting project.

New project developments will be published here.
