We are one of three similar Units (linked together by the Growability site) jointly managed by the Northumberland Care Trust on behalf of Northumberland County Council. The Unit opened in January 1985, so we are celebrated our 20^th anniversary in 2005 – follow this link to find out more.

HSU’s 20^th anniversary 2005
We enjoyed our 20^th anniversary celebrations on Thursday, 21^st July 2005. The Duchess of Northumberland joined us and helped to make this a very special day. We welcomed about 200 people to the Unit that day, many of whom have worked here in the past. Everything went pretty much according to plan, and the programme for the day is given below. Many photos were taken, a video was made of the event, and there was some very positive publicity in the local press. Follow this link for more photos and information about the event.
